How will I know the problem is from the card and not the camera? Before you say “switch the card to a card you KNOW works”, I first have to realize the problem is related to the card. You don’t immediately assume a problem is a card. Certain problems clearly won’t be.

The quality of a memory card would determine whether it will be prone to having problems, like becoming corrupt, data loss, etc. There are many brands of memory cards on the market and they all can work just fine. The fact that memory cards are relatively inexpensive than they used to be and all conform to their design, a brand may not matter unless it has a bad history by users, which you’d have to search the net and see. I used to buy SanDisk brand but now I buy Kingston brand which cost less and all mine have work flawlessly.
